Nightly Civ: Sign Up Now for Game 2

EDIT 11/7/16: The first Nightly Civ is now underway! We're playing a quick Duel map, mainly as a test run. Game 2 could start as early as Monday, November 14. Please chime in below with your Steam ID if you'd like to join us.

I'm looking to start up Nightly Civ, a multiplayer game of Civ VI played every weeknight from 11pm EST (0400 GMT).

The idea is to play through a game in one hour sessions. To sign up, you need to commit to attending every weeknight (M-F) at the start time. We play for one hour, then save the game, and then we start up again the next night.

The first game will start on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11pm EST! (Please note that Daylight Savings Time will end before then, so synchronize your watches accordingly.)

I'm open to ideas around anything but the schedule (I'm committed to hosting at this time). What kind of game should we play? If you're at all interested in participating, shout out in this thread.

This is a cool idea, I've thought about doing something like this. Unfortunately this schedule wouldn't work for me - I could commit to maybe 2 nights a week. I'm curious how it goes though, good luck!

My steam ID is camomilk. Monday nights would usually be fine, but this particular week I have plans - feel free to start without me if you have enough people though. I could try to play regularly on Mondays, and Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Our first game started on time! MaximusPlatypus and I are enjoying a duel for now, but we'll work you in soon camomilk. We're taking Election Night off, but will resume on Wednesday at 11pm ET.

we can always resume our duel game later... if Wednesday we have more players we can cater to time restrictions. I like the 1 hour, as it's a reasonable nightly/every 2 day thing to show up. I'm self-employed w/ no kids or wife so I can play almost whenever given a day's notice or so.

If nothing else, we could have a m/w/f or 2 day a week game w/ camomilk. if there's only 2 online in a given night, just resume the 2 way game.

Sorry, was tied up last night. jlc22 we just had to abandon a borked map (lol he had 3 niters on his island, I had NONE ) so i'll add you on steam as we are just starting a new game. Basically the 1 hr session is manageable so we can screw around with some "non-traditional" mp games which are suitable for noobs. I was playing around with the idea of a team game against 4-6 Emperor+ AIs on a Pangea, is that something that might interest?

Yah I'd be up for that. Which file do I have to edit to enable team MP? I know I've read it on the forums and elsewhere here but I didn't bookmark it or edit it at the time!

none really, personally I use these but don't have to in our nightly games. Read the changelogs for details. Really balances the game out

Nightly Civ Game 3 is looking to start up tonight (assuming we have some players).

I'm recommending everyone use the Fruitymod v.3 HBUI mod (3.0) and NBBalance mod (3.0). available here:

We were testing the new 4-leaf clover map and it seems decent. (Watch out for all those barbs in the middle though!)

We play 1 hr a night at 11pm EST/ 10pm CST and save our sessions and continue whichever night everyone is available again. Try to stick to M-F but this is not always possible.
