No faces! Please help!

I am having a problem with my Beyond the Sword Expansion. When I play the game, the AI players have no animated person, just a big blank box! I have heard of some other glitch where the ground turns black also, but I don't think it's the same thing. Because I think you could only see their teeth or something; I just have a blank spot! The strangest thing is, when I load just NORMAL Civ 4, there they are, working just fine! I can play without the animations (some of them are a little creepy), but I just like to make sure my game is working correctly. Could someone please explain this?

Is Antialiasing samples set to zero in the Options->Graphics screen? If not, try that. Non-zero values are known to cause display problems on Macintosh. If you are using a Mac, that is probably your trouble. If you are using a Windows OS, try it anyway - it could be the cause.

Thank you! I am using Windows, but I will try it and post if it doesn't work.

I looked, and there isn't even an option to select anything except "0"...
I tried restoring it to default graphics, but it did not work either...

I would suggest asking in:

"Civ4 - Technical Support
Forum for technical questions, such as compatibilities, game installation, sound, or video problems."

That is where the experts in this sort of thing hang out. You'll find it on the main CIVILIZATION IV screen. I have seen people ask about this sort of thing before and I believe they got help there.

Another thought: if you are running a mod, this problem can be caused by conflicts with the mod if you also have entries in the CustomAssets.
