No Free Christianity?

In my game I built the Oracle and chose Theology (the one that enables Christianity) as my free tech.

However after I built the wonder the game simply asked me what to build next in the city. No religion movie, no holy city founded and when I checked the religious advisor screen Christianity was still greyed out.

I was the founder of Judaism (only), its holy city was my capital, where the Oracle was built and I had two other cities so the Christian holy city should have been in either of these two.

I will play a bit more to see if when the AI discovers the tech whether Christianity is founded or not.

As of now I'm still unsure whether this is a bug or the game doesn't allow you to get religions from free techs, but I don't think that's likely, no?

Are you sure you didn't get Christianity a few turns later? That's what happens to me when I build the Oracle - I just get the associated religion a few turns later.

Hehe now I feel ridiculous because it was founded a turn later.

Does seem to be a bit of a bug, but if you get a religious tech for free then you don't get the religion till next turn,

It happened to me too. I have built the oracle in every game I played. In the very first game I played, I chose Theology as my free pick. I was very disappointed that the Christianity movie did not appear. Then a few turns later, voila, I get a holy city near Roman territory!!!
