So I started up Civ 5 like any other day. Clicked on Mods to jump back into my Extended Eras game. When I did that I got a blank screen telling me "No mods installed". What huh? I checked my subscriptions and I'm still subscribed to all the mods that should be showing up. What gives?

In the Mods screen, have you clicked on the buttons for the mods you want to use in order to activate them?

If yes and you are still having trouble, then try deleting your game cache folder and moduserdata folder.

Then restart Civ-5, go to the Mods screen and wait for a couple of minutes. The mods you are subscribed to should then redownload/renew themselves, and you should then be able to click on their buttons to activate them.

Good Luck!

I meant that the mod list was empty, despite that the mods were clearly installed and I had subbed to them. I even tried unsubbing and subbing again or subbing to an entirely new mod and nothing would still show up. Finally I just sat in front of the mod screen for about ten seconds wondering what to do when all the mods I had subbed to started downloading again. Everything works again. I don't understand why this happened in the first place, however.

Make sure the file "Civ5Modsdatabase" Is not in your civ 5 folder
