No more Christmas Avatar Tradition in the Civ 3 Forums ?

It´s now less than 2 weeks until Christmas and - different to former years - nearly nobody in the Civ 3 forums is using 'Christmas Avatars' any longer. Are the old traditions of these forums now dead ?
