No Village Huts on Earth Map... (Not a Bug)

Not sure if this is a bug or by design, but I've played two multiplayer games on the new earth map and no one found any of these huts.

Does anyone know if this is a feature or a flaw?

Is this the new built in map? I have no idea about that one but I have had this issue with YAMP map pack. It has to do with the ruleset, do not use anything but earth one. They may have fixed the others but if you are using this map pack could be they did not fix it yet.

I had it happen a number of times but single player not MP. Shouldn't matter whether it is MP or SP though.

OK, I just tried hosting a game and I found out what the issue is, they've greyed out the option for Village huts, so it would seem it is by design...
