I play on a rather low difficulty level and no barbs and no war. (I know, I'm weird) Anyway, there are SO many civs to chose from and a lot of them are built for war... what would be your suggestions for non-war civs to be and to play against?

I like to win in any way that's non-combat. :)

p.s. I have all expansions and dlc.

Well, as you said, there's many to choose from. All top tier civs (Arabia, Poland, Korea, Mayans and Babylon) are good at everything, not just war. But, other civs you might enjoy could be Siam, Inca, Netherlands, Sweden, The Celts, Egypt, Brazil... oftomh.... Have fun! :D

My go-to civ is India. Build just three or four cities and concentrate on science. Even with war-loving civs nearby I find I usually just have to build enough defensive units to stay near the middle of the pack on military strength. Even if somebody invades it's not too difficult to fend them off. By the time they're ready to come back for seconds I've leaped way ahead in science and have advanced units that kick butt. I've never played them without war -- though I've played several games where there wasn't a single war the whole game -- but I imagine they'd play even better if you didn't have to build military at all.

I think India would be a good one. But they are really really good with a few cities that are huge. Unfortunately I like to sprawl. So I haven't added India to my list. But thank you for making me take another look at them. :)

India is definitely not an ICS civ. While I play India often (probably too often), I like to shake it up and try different approaches. Some times few cities; some times lots of cities. Of late I've been playing more water games, which I've largely ignored previously.

You might want to give Rome a try. While they seem more warlike, the Glory of Rome bonus is great when sprawling.
