well, the title tells all. Why dont i see the wondermovies in multiplayer games (or did i miss an option somewhere??), and is there a way to turn them on??

Nope, you just get a message that it was built. Who would want to wait for someone who built a wonder to watch his movie? And it would probably lead to connection problems.

well, i wasn't planning on playing singleplayer, but apparently i have to now. U'r probably right, but i would have liked to see an option (when creating multiplayer games) which states if wondermovies are shown or not..... Ahhwel, just gonna do a huge map, one opponent easy game and watch all movies in one session..

I also find this very annoying.
I have been playing mainly multiplayer games having found a colleague at work whose civ crazy. I dont see how it would cause an issue, give us the option of disabling it for faster games (which is the only sensible reason I see for them taking it out)
I was so happy to hear that wonder movies were back too.

play a whole bunch of singleplayer games until you get tired of them. =)

I would.

My wife and I play team based against the AI, and we'd like to see them. I don't want to be forced to play single player to enjoy all of the content.

It's a dangerous thing to assume that all players play either solo, or online. Unfortunately it's a short-sightedness that the gaming industry has been suffering from for some time, leaving those of us who prefer to just play LAN co-operative out in the dark. How hard would it have been to leave the movies in, and have an option to disable them for multi-player if the players so choose. Bleh.

Yes, that's the way I play virtually all games. I really hope they make an option to show Wonder movies in MP in a future patch, as the Wonders are significantly less wondrous when all we get is a small text message telling us they've been built.:(

That's disappointing to hear. My wife and I also play LAN exclusively. We just started a game last night, so we haven't noticed the lack of Wonder Movies yet. But we were both looking forward to their return. Hope they add the option in a patch!

OK. I dont apologise for bringing back this old thread, as I figure that surely after all this time there must be some setting that people have discovered that enables Wonder Movies in multiplayer? Hmm?

I dont know... a setting in the ini.file? A change I can make in the code? Or even some mod component that someone has developed? :)

Since I got Worlords, my brothers and I enjoy playing a leisurely (no timer) LAN game every weekend. We really miss the 'reward' of the wonder movies. (Yeah I know they can get boring for some, but I am using these games as an introduction to CiV for my brothers, and the movies would help 'sell' the game)

So whats the deal? Anybody know if it is possible to enable them?

When writing my Civstats mod, I noticed that you would only need to change 1 line of code to activate wonder movies in multiplayer. I could whip out a tiny little mod and you can try using that when you play.

Hey, OverlordUT! :yeah: If you could create such a mod I GUARANTEE that my brothers and I will try it out. (I expect that some others who post on this multiplayer section will give it a go too) :)

I have one question related with wonders in multiplayer ( and I don't want to start another thread ) - let's suppose the following scenario : in a PitBoss game two players try to build the same wonder. In a turn they both pop/money-rush the wonder. Who actually will build it ?

Regards

Any solutions to this problem yet or not? I want to be able to watch the movies in MP damn it!

Mîtiu Ioan its a dice roll. Same as religions.
