Noble Marathon Space Attempt

You really need to read this https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...-10-year-veteran.574724/page-49#post-15016528

I do not suggest you cut the whole 19 turns off, but finishing about a dozen turns sooner should not be too difficult if you replay some 20 turns prior to finishing research, and you will get a reasonably better fibish date. It is also advisable to get Composites before Genetics, this way only two parts are very difficult.

Might be worth playing with the idea of whipping and storing overflow, it does of course involve running slavery instead of caste which costs workshops hammers. Looking through WT talks about a couple of five pop whips to maximise overflow which is population that needs to regrow, less of a problem if you're running corporations and are getting +20 food per turn from Sushi, more of a problem without Sushi. If you're saving forests for spaceship parts then you need to plan this a lot earlier in the game so you don't chop them into something else.

Maybe I should try another game or two going for corporations instead of state property. That would certainly be well outside my comfort zone . Having said that while I am profoundly impressed by WTs gameplay that doesn't mean I have the knowledge, organisation or planning skills to be able to emulate him.

Don't forget that WastinTime was planning with ~20000 bpt in mind, not 7000. Since you had entirely different, rather streched out timeframe, you could have done quite a lot without using a whip and shave off more than 10 turns quite easily. Besides, you need only 1 turn of Slavery, this is not much of a loss. Christo, 1 turn of Slavery and whips may cost you roughly 1 turn of research, but what does it matter if you build your spaceship several turns faster?

Yep, using corporations makes building spaceship much less painful a process, with ~50:hammers: boost in every city; and Sushi certainly solves the problem of growing cities to 20+. They also make courthouses more interesting and worthy of attention if you do not intend to use strike.

Spent the last couple of days trying to find the ideal start for another HoF attempt, haven't found one yet so got a bit fed up and now I'm trying noble marathon with standard settings (Noble Club 274 Hatsepshut) to see if its possible to get an earlyish space victory in a normal game.
