nothing happens after your vanquish a civ?

Don't you think it might get boring though? Would you even read it after the first game?

-> hmm...

Just start a small writing contest (like for the spell pedia entries) where everybody can have a go at the certain leaders final words.

And then make a popup like at orthuss or archeron spawn with the picture of the leader in the center.

That way you get people happy (have something to do) and not drain away developing man-hour you need for more important tasks :). So a cool new feature with nothing much to do for the team...

Well, since each civ's palace provides a unique benefit (mana, GPP, etc.), maybe the palace relocation code can be modded so that when you capture your enemy's last city, the palace stays in it. I know SDK mods are a headache, but it should only be a few lines of code and it would make conquering an opponent more rewarding.

I was thinking something similar but perhaps instead of all 3 benefits you only get one or two.

That actually might be a nice idea. Of course, the palace couldn't stay (as it is instantly rebuilt in the Civ's new capital), but if it left a resource behind... it could be interesting.

Ah, completely unrelated idea here, but; when you build a node on a mana tile, it changes from just mana to body mana or enchantment mana or whatever. If you then build a city upon it, will the city provide that mana type? Might be an interesting bug/feature if it does.

I think the point was that this only happens when you capture the *last* city, so no problem with a new palace being build, and a nice reward for finishing off an enemy civ. I like the idea, though three mana might be overpowered indeed...

Throwing my support in, I'd love to see some sort of popup window, a fanfare, and an announcement, even if it's fluff. If it has some (small) bonus as well, great.

I think it would be a very nice bonus if your war weariness counter reset itself after you defeated an oponent utterly. I mean, it must be a real nice morale effect to recieve news that your nation just wiped another nation off the face of Erebus.

Thank you :)

Probobly not, however the noticable absense of any reward will follow you through every game.
yea...
if it's not as big as a movie, i won't mind it popping up everytime i defeat someone
ever

Hewre is a screenshot from patch "d" after defeating Sabathiel:

Now that 0.15d is out whats the feedback on the defeated popups? Do you like them, not like them, wish they were different?

Likem but i still want my scoobie snack from killing meat puppets! I thought of something wacky. How about a pyramid of skulls? Kill enough enemies and build a monument from their bones. No idea what it would do i just like the name :)

maybe-
*after killing xx living units ingame(scaled by city)
-you can build a pile of skulls in a city
pile of skulls gives a fear like promotion to units in the city
(doubled effect for units with 101 xp or more)
-or it can randomly grant the fear promotion free to units built

*or you get x bonus for heros and civs killed by you
the city gains 2x culture for every world unit/hero and civ your civ has killed

I don't know if this is fixed already (also posted it in cosmetic thread, but i think it got missed):

- The screens also appear when the civ is killed of by barbarians (maybe also other ai civs) - it would be cooler if the rewarding screen would only be shown if the player takes an oppent down

- it would be very cool to have the same pop-ups with little flavour stories for wonders (easier to do than wonder movies) :)
