NovaGaming System, the turn-based space trading strategy game hosted at Gamecatcher goes into round #2. With a lot of improvement and polish, the new installment awaits the player with all kinds of challenges.

NGS is a open-source online gaming platform, where you take the role of a space trader who flys through the universe and traded all kinds of commodities to gain credits. These are used for upgrading the ship, buying specialized devices and later even colonizing your own planets.
Trade effectively and you can soon start building your interplanetary empire, but be aware, not every player pursues the peaceful path.

You must be registered at Gamecatcher to be eligible for playing. Be sure to also take part in the active discussion in our new Online Strategy Games forum. Join an alliance if you want and the fate of the galaxy may soon be in your hands.

Our installment of this game is heavily modified, especially the general settings differ from the original, to allow for more variety and faster paced playing.
NGS is a turn-based, real time game. That means you use turns to do anything in the game, but these turns regenerate in realtime. Our setup allows everyone to play every day and achieve something, yet you can also wait almost 4 days before you reach the turn accumulation limit.

NGS is not the only of its kind, but there have been many new online games rising up recently.

Since Lucky has probably mentioned everything about the game, I would just like to recommend this game as its great fun, plus you shouldn't be at a disadvantage from joining the game late.

Yes, not really much to add to Dell19 & Lucky's posts. It is a very enjoyable game (and fiendishly addictive), and from my experiences in the first round of the game I can definitely say that Dell is totally right that joining late is no disadvantage at all.

Lol I could see that Phillipe. Didn't know how you managed to have as many turns as me and have half of my score
Anyway sometimes this game sucks. Indeed, some people obviously don't know to read and do treat newbies like insects, stealing every planets they could colonize, hence anihilating all their efforts. Ok I'm exagerating a bit but fortunately most of players are still nice with weak people like me.

Hehe, actually I must admit that history bluff is still correct with weak people. If you don't attack him, then he'll just leave you alone. Sometimes he scans your planets and even runs into mines just for fun but that's all. Other players wouldn't have any qualms about taking over them.

We haven´t taken over weak people´s planets, but we have a clear policy which everyone can follow. HB and the NTA on the other hand are often behaving like warmongers.

But why don´t we keep ingame discussion to our fora.

Very true, I was on a conquering spree before. But thats all done.

Well, I was, decided to stop, and if you have a beef with my team, please name the players. Most of them are just real-life friends who were admitted cuz it was easier than arguning with them
