When a nuke is dropped in a city it can destroy current improvements. But does it also work against wonders (minor or major). Mainly what I want to know is if you're capable of destroying their SDI if you keep dropping nukes on that city.
I'm pretty sure I've read nukes can't destroy wonders, large or small. I don't think I've ever built or gone up against an SDI in III, though so I have a question of my own: Is the 75% against nukes targeted at the city tile, or does it also cover other tiles? If it covers outside the city, the nuke-a-tile-beside-the-city trick wouldn't work...
I think if u nuke a city 20 times it should be evaporated. As it is now, i do not think u can obliterate a city. Or, if u can't do that, then how about after u nuke a city with say 4 plus nukes, its next generation of workers/units/specialists have two heads or something (jk)
Better yet, say the next generation of population has health problems so that it grows very slowly or has pop drop due to disease.
I think Nukes should completely destroy a city, or at least knock it down to a level 1 and destroy everything in it, including wonders. As for the 50% (?) chance of units surviving the attack, that should be reduced down to more like 10%. Nukes, for their true intended purpose, are way too weak in my opinion.
Nukes are very devestating in the games I have playes, and SDI has been very effective when used by me and the AI. It is possible to recover from nuclear attacks, but those cities are never the same. And remember the time frame, turns are years and cities have recovered from nuclear attacks in decades.
What I do wish for is a deperate pollution for nukes, so it takes alot longer to clean up.
Now, am I right in saying the only way to destroy a wonder is to raze the city it is built in? There is no other possible way to destroy it? Also, if a wonder has expired, is the only penalty for razing a wonder the loss of culture? Or is there some loss of happiness, etc.?
