Hey guys,
Long time fan of the series here, excited about the new Civ 5, but with some mixed feelings about what we know.
I for one always enjoyed having several nuclear submarines, stacked with nuclear weapons lurking around the map late in the game, i know.. i know... a cold war thing
Will i be able to do this with the upcoming Civ 5? There needs to be more focus on the cold war era in the game, it was such an important time in history. If developers are reading this ( see the movies the day after, threads, crimson tide and other movies dealing with nuclear war )
1. More Cold war era features, small islands randomly placed on earth map for nuclear weapons testing ( during manhattan research) , some eyecandy and newspaper reports about nuclear weapons being developed by various nations. More Cold War please please please . In civ 4 the time period came and went too quickly. more gametime in this age if possible.
2. Nuclear war, how about some eyecandy after an impact on an enemy city. See the movies The day after, you feel almost sick . Would be cool to attack an enemy with nuclear war but at the same time "feel sick" that you just did that. Random eyecandy of devestations impacts newsreports, so important.
What do you think guys? Any thoughts on this
