mmmmmmmmh.........is it possible to kill a city w/ nothing only but nukes? does the Strategic missile defence only stops ICBMs or can stop tactical nukes too? can nuclear weapons destroy wonders? do nukes increase ur power level.......?:nuke:

well i wonder if in PTW we get the option to plant nuclear devises in cities w/ spys, mmmh........they should add biologocal weapons too, what u think?

i am not a well train nuclear war general, but i would like to be able to do chemical warfare( i am a chemist ) , it should come with refining, i think. during first world war, chemical weapon were pretty well devloped. it should be fire with cannon and artillery with instanly lethal damage and of course some pollution and bad reputation. Even cruise missile should be able to carry a chemical head.

i agree tassadar, also should polution by nuclear weapons lower ur units HP?
That s a good point:) any military units who walk on pollution tile cause by chemical or nuclear radioactivity should suffer hit point lose. Maybe we will need a specialize worker to clean it.

I think the number of nuclear weapons you have does increase your power in the histograph screen, if that's what you mean, stalin006. And wasn't there going to be an option in Civ 3 to plant diseases in cities with spies like in civ 2, but then they took away the option because of the anthrax scare?

they took it away cuz the anthax scare?.......why? is biological warfare, is not like if (no offence) it was a special unit called terrorist who used planes to destroy city improvements, hten that would be bad, but chemical weapons add to the realism, nuclear weapons should be harder to get so that the few strongest ones get them, and the small poor civs can only get chemical ones............mmmh.........i dont know

If we follow this logic, then, no more first person shooting, because of some killer schoolboy. Then no more real time strategy because it create an international warmongering consciouness and so on:lol:

And guess what, the most barabrian war were wage in old time where they got no television, no vidoe game. They were burning alive poeple for sorcelery crime. So nobody will make me beleive that violence came from tv or video game, violence are indeed much lower now in modern time then in old time.

yeah also the media (of some countries) makes news seem sooooooo important and urgent, like if one person dies of such and such they make it so it could happen to everyone! like "the summer of the shark"? come on, more people die of other stupid things than taht, and do they ever pay attention to really important stuff like hunger in africa? nope.

Yes stalin, the world starves while companies in Michigan make HORRIBLE commercials with cheezy singing in the background. I hate Michigan.

Soviet Soldier, I do not understand your hatret of michigan, If you drive a tank (such as a T-34), the horrible Michigan drivers aren't a problem ;)

( used to live in northern ohio where everyone complains about michigan drivers constantly)

I'm In Columbus, Where we blame Michigan for everything that's wrong with the World!!! GO BUCKS!:D

SO why do we have Nukes after Hiroshima??
Why is Persia (Iran) in the game after the hostage takeover...
etcetera, etcetera

Diseases in Civilization II made the game too easy to win. All you'd have to do is shrink the size down to 1 and then stealth bomb it. No more city.

It was more taken out due to PR if I were to guess. Imagine the bad PR during the anthrax scare it could have received. I can see it in the news, every news agency would attack it. Then again, lots of free publicity for Firaxis :)

Well, they still included it in Civ2 after the Tokyo subway attack. I can see it taking too much away from the game, as was fundamentalism.

I don't see it being removed for political reasons, but just for practical gameplay reasons.
