I knew about that already. Everyone knows about that. AFTER that was ALREADY there, a moderator at the OFFFICIAL forums linked to from THAT VERY WEBSITE, said that he would be very surprised if it wasn't released for PS3. They've clarified that they've announced for Xbox360 and PC but that this does NOT mean they won't release on any other platforms. People who are spreading that rumor probably work for Microsoft!

I already linked the statement on the official forums which clarifies this.

It is also well known that the moderators on the Elder Scrolls main page know no more than me or you about the new game.

Honestly, many of them, for all their hard work, are spoiled PS3 fanboys. They tend to spread their views, and it is because of a moderator that the rumor about the PS3 was started.

Bethesda signed a deal with Microsoft to make it exclusively availible (in console land) on the xbox 360. They did that with Morrowind, and followed the same pattern here.

If you watch the e3 demo, it pointedly states that the game "will be out on PC and Xbox360 this Christmas". If you want to point at that and say "well it DOESN'T say that it won't come out for PS3" you might as well say while the earth orbits the sun, the law that states this doesn't say that the sun doesn't also orbit the earth. While it doesn't come out and directly say no, the only reason it doesn't is because the writer doesn't think the populace is to stupid to understand.

So lets make this blunt (as said by MSFD in a post somewhere (that I REALLY have to find): Oblivion won't come out on PS3.

I can't wait for this game. If you haven't seen the e3 video, you should. Pretty sweet!

edit: I don't see how you can read "What console will Oblivion be released on? Xbox 360 and PC" and still doubt this. It point-blank states that Oblivion will only be on Xbox 360 and PC. There is no "and any other console that will support it". It is Xbox 360 and PC, no ifs ands or buts about it.

I'm so looking forward to Oblivian. It comes as the 4th in a string of highly desired games (Quake4 - Call of Duty 2 - Civ 4 - Oblivian) that are just going to suck the life out of me...in a good way. Ummm. This after a drout for me.

I'll play it on the PC and prefer PC games. Built my first PC last year and its simply the best machine I've ever played on so I wont spend the extra money on consols. Those controlers kick my butt anyway.

Wait til its release so you can plan on building your new pc that would be compatible with it. Yes it require some nutshell to run it from what i heard and i want the RPG as well.

Unfort my pc wont handle it, when the time come i get something to improve it in the furture and aint buying no crappy playstation or xbox 360 just to play one game.

Should be out sometime in December, good luck with it and have fun!

I just found out that xbox 360 would be around 400 drakes, geesh what a mind blower. I rather get my pc upgraded instead.

Well damn, i just saw on Gamestop that its March 21, 2006.
But then Gamespot has Oblivion pc on Feb 1 and the Xbox360 at March 21.

Well i hope they're making the game noticeably better with the extra 3 months.

According to this thread on the Oblivion main forum the Mx440 will NOT run Oblivion, along with a number of other cards. The thread lists a lot of cards and what level they will be able to run oblivion at.

I can't wait to play this game with my X800xl! I just wish it was 64-bit so i can finally use my AMD64 3500 :|
