I was thinking that an OCN utility - to know your OCN at any stage of the game would be very helpful..

What d'u think??

Are the ones that currently exist insufficient for you?

Not an Excel calculator.. something more like MapStat.. :mischief:
If you're suggesting that I add it to CRpMapStat then you're in for a long wait ;). Have you looked at that Excel calculator? I just did, and it's very easy to use...

Wait...!
Don't courthouses and policestations increase the OCN??

I'm a bit confused now..

From the corruption thread :
Nopt = max(OCN * (L/100 * (1 + c +Gr + Gp*Nwe) + 0.25*Ni), 1)

So, the optimal city number is actually a modified OCN as I see it, and is dependent on courts and police..

Yes, No, Sort of?? :confused:

No, sort of ;).

Nopt is different for every city. It's based on the OCN, and the rank corruption of a city will be much higher if it's rank is higher than it's Nopt value.

This is exactly an expansion of the OCN term...
None of the parameters refer to the city, so all cities should have the same "Nopt" at each stage ("Ni" refers to total number of improvements in the empire, no?).

If you are in a city that ranks below/above the Nopt, you get normal/double corruption.
This is why I think this is just an extension of the OCN, which is actually a kind of Nopt_base..

Or.. I don't get it! :cry:

No, Ni is the number of improvements in the city. This is the term that causes Nopt to vary from city to city.
