Nice job Marsden. IIRC, the Great Library gives you the last MA tech, then you draw your free tech, and then starts giving you the other techs known by 2 of the other AIs.

Thanks, killercane! I was reluctant to post because I didn't want to give everyone an easy date to beat. I figure the only way I can win the gauntlet is by lack of participation by the others. On the plus side, I never thought during the course of the game that I was losing. So not happy as far as "fastest" finish, but very happy with "you win by conquest!"

Well done, Marsden! IMO you should never be reluctant to post a submission. The competition makes us all strive for better dates.

(BTW I'm sorry that I didn't provide any competition this time. I did start a game as the Iroquois but I was taken over by a desire to play a few more SS and Diplo games and I never returned to it.)

Thanks, I wanted to win for a change, I'm sure your date would be better than mine. You can still take the number one spot away on the chart.

I'd also like to thank Civ 4 for coming out and distracting many of the Civ 3 HoFers, gives me a chance to possibly get the QM someday!
