So we're getting into the game and I'm about to start my second city (So excited!!) and I move my dream filled young colonist out to his destination location. Then when he gets there (A beautiful spot with 7 titanium and 4 firaxite within the a few tiles of the city) he ends his turn and waits for his next to found a new colony.

Stations, however will have none of this. Damn thing plopped down right next to him. I literally almost threw my mouse.

So, the logical course (because the AI or the Aliens are going to murder the station anyways because they always do.) is to just knock it down and move on. So I build a few marines (Takes about 3 to knock it down without losses) and kill the station. Founded my city.

For the next 250 turns, I am reminded by the African Union "We do not appreciate the way to treat our trade partners! Let's leave neutral stations alone" (close but not a DIRECT quote).

It was literally incessant.

The best part? About ~275 they eliminate the last 2 remaining trade stations.

I just don't even know anymore.
