official fall from heaven mod for Civ VII?

What is Derek Paxton doing these days? One thing that would definitely induce me to purchase Civ VII (despite my many misgivings) would be if he were hired to produce an official Fall From Heaven mod for the engine. Of course, he would need creative control to ensure a good product.
 
As recently as 2020 he was working at Stardock making games. I can't find the credits for GalCiv 4 online but he probably worked on that? I also loved Fall From Heaven but I'd be surprised to get anything else in that world.
 
It would be a most pleasant surprise. I'd bring back the same tribes, same leaders, and just update the interface for the new engine. Instead of three distinct ages you could just use the good old armageddon counter.

He's actually working on Endless Legend 2. Which is a Fantasy 4X. I'm quite interested to see how it goes.

As for Fall For Heaven for Civ VII, we'll have to see. It took quite awhile for Lua modding to develop to allow a lot of the modding shenanigans in Civ VI, and we don't yet have any mods as far as I know that do scripting in VII. You'd also have to reimplement experience for every unit, that sounds bleh. Also you'd have to remove the resource assignment stuff (or adapt it). Probably tons more hurdles
