I started an MP game, pangea, standard, 6 players. You would think that there is alot of room for everybody, right??

NOT!

I started with my setter 2 tiles next to a german player's settler. Infact we were so close that when he settled, I couldnt even settle my city, and had to move.

But here is the fun part! Germeny only starts with a scout, and I had a warrior. So right from the first turn, I went straight to his city with my warrior and attacked it with an +80% chance, AND I LOST!!

OH GOD!

After that I just gave up and quit, lol:lol:

brutal, I thought id never see the game do that.

Started an SP game this eve. Played on a Tiny Archipeligo map as Capac. And there I am on a tiny island with room for a city at each end, one patch of chopable trees, one bare hill and a Clam. Hmmmm. Played 'til I had IW and had explored nearby islands. No metal. Nada.

Oh yes, I'm sure.

Well to be fair I tried to attack his city with my settler. It didnt work out as planned :(

I do know some burly enviromentalists so, you should have had a chance.

He had his scout garrisoned in the city?

The only way you should have lost was if he had the scout fortified in the city, which doesn't make sense. I would figure he had him out scouting.

On a hot seat game : Duel map, 2 players, pangaea =>

Each one with a warrior with 1 star (both agressive leaders).

His city is at ~10 tiles at the left of mine, and I didn't know, I explored in the left, and I saw his city... unprotected, then I ran into it, but the other's warrior was coming and intercepted me, he said me that he had 67% chance of victory or something, but he lost, so I could continue my running, and I captured the city, and I won (5 turns after strangely).

So the game ended in -3500 or something like that.

Sometimes, when i want to play a different game, i try a 4 continents small or medium map with lots of AI (like 15 or so). Then at turn 1 i go to the world builder, and i dont touch my continent and another; the 3° continent i remove all the strategic resources and change them to food resources, and the 4° continent i change into lots and lots of small islands with some medium islands. Then i get two developed continents, one unprodictive oceania and one very populated but military weak africa :) I also remove all Dye on the map and place 10 Dye resources around the arabs or indians. And one AI will surely be moved to the north pole, with no water or food on his fat cross, but one stone resource on the city tile :)

Those make for very fun, unbalanced games.

Wanna make a map out of that? Sounds like a fun alternative to Terra.

It makes perfect sense. Since they started next to each other the only thing to do is fortify your scout and pray you survive.....and I guess in this case his prayers were answered.

It does have a strength of one. A fitting reward for proper play.

The prayer had a mathematical component to it.
