Yah, I stopped playing civ3 few month ago (I get bored etc...) but now I think its time to try again because of this new patch...

Im looking the world map (I have played marlas map before but balance was little poor) and I noticed that someones has made mod with balanced research values, right starting locations etc...
(like RookMasterTC or Zouave) but because lack of time I dont have time to test all this mods and even if I will add those new units it takes way too much time so I need help to choose which mod to play?

Mine doesn't have correct starting locations. It is reasonably accurate and historical within the serious limits of the system; just be sure you read the entire thread on the Completed Mods forum as there are some options I suggest considering adding.

I stopped with the correct starting locations as the different patches made that more involved to sort out, and the maps by the Industrial Age were gigantic.

I liked what Plutarck did with his LWC mod in terms of adding different units. You should examine that just for its information if nothing else. I disagreed with him in two areas: crossbowmen as offensive, and early naval bombardment (not feasible).

have fun!

I will enjoy MP when it comes - then, all the gripes about the AI will dissappear into thin air :D

Oooh yesss... That will be bliss, having friends ready to share a week-end on a civ3 game... Imagine putting only one AI and ganging up on him to make him pay for its fellas... :)
