I need a quick reply to this as I still have the install open.

I have downloaded the latest ATI Radeon Windows XP Omega Driver from their site, I start to install, the program installed fine...

Now I am installing the driver and I get this warning:

"Hardware Installation"

"RADEON IGP 34xM (Omega 2.6.75a)

has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.

Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future. Microsoft strongly reccommends that you stop this installation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that has passed Windows Logo testing."

Now, is this normal and should I continue?

Btw, I am installing this because I am trying to solve my Black Terrain problem, I have installed the latest patch however it seems that even the patch does not solve my problem, so maybe along with a better driver the results will be positive.

Thanks!

Yes that just means the driver manufacturer didn't pay microshaft a lot of money to have "authentication" rights built into the driver.

now that the patch is out, I might actually try the omega driers again. Last time it actually caused my system to crash with the game. Where the original drivers for my ATI card didn't crash it just had those problems that were supposed to be addressed in this patch. Maybe that will fix my black map issue I still have.

What graphics card do you have amirsan?
I have an ATI IGP 345M card.
How fast is Civ now working for you?

@nitram,

The game finally works visually, however I am experiencing a bit of laggyness during the game, even during a Duel size map while I have 2 cities.... he mouse scroll is kinda slow, the map aswell, so altogether its a bit slower.

Maybe its because of the card... or the fact that all my settings are on maximum.

BTW, I have the same card as you.

You'll alwayd get a message like that when installing programs, 3rd party drivers, etc that dont pay microsoft to be put on the "oked to use by microsoft list."

Know that the patch is out, going to see if I can get the latest cat drivers to work like my current cat v4.12 does.
