Hi all!
I've been playing Civ V for the last few months. Loving the game!
However, I've noticed that the way trade is modeled leaves much to be desired.
Basically, as the game stands now, only domestic trade is modeled.
Maritime trade and land trade between other civs is completely absent.
Seems like it'd be a pretty simple fix, too.
Something like +1
for every friendly (Open borders treaty with other civs required) foreign city connected to your capital via road would improve this.
For maritime trade, how about +1
for every friendly port connected via a sea trade route to your coastal cities?
That would also serve to add more depth to the naval aspect of the game, which is rather bland at this point in time.
