Okay, I'm curious. In light of the new patch and BNW around the corner - what machine runs your copy of CiV.

I know some people have multiple OSs and I'm curious what is your go-to primary OS for running CiV.

Technically Linux runs on PC too. Stallman would not be pleased.

I run the game on 2 different, and vastly differently capable, IBM PCs. My laptop, which I use at work (like now) can play the game, as long as the map is small or smaller, and as long as none of the graphics options are set to anything other then 'lowest.' My home PC is significantly more beefy, and I routinely play large/huge maps with everything turned on.

How would one play Civilization V on an iOS? I know CivV is on Windows and Mac, and Linux users can emulate it, but... iOS?

I've heard distant rumors of people being able to play on tablets. I'm not that tech savy, but I did want to include it as an option.

There are apps that let you remotely link to your PC, and the tablet basically becomes a wireless touchscreen monitor.

Mind, you're not actually running Civ on the tablet, but it's close enough.

My only machine is a Mac, so I play it on that. It's a pretty powerful Mac, though :)

As pedantic as it may sound, "PC" should be changed to "Microsoft Windows," as every home computer is a PC.

If I could get the same GPU performance in Debian GNU/Linux that I can get with Microsoft Windows 7 I would switch in a heartbeat. However, since the game is specifically designed to work with Microsoft's executable binaries I would still take a performance hit.

Windows 7 x64 both on my desktop and on my laptop (when I'm around campus).

It's one of the major things that keeps me from going full time Linux.
