optimal number of cities

apparently the optimal number of cities before rampant corruption is determined by World Size.

but what about maps of custom sizes, specifically TET world map 362x362?

tech rate also depends on World Size so same question...

i mean what about maps with custom sizes, like TET world which is 362x362
this is almost four times the huge map (160x160)
 
I knew what you meant. This is under the world tab in the editor.

When you create the map, you have to pick Tiny, Small, Normal, Large, or Huge. There are no other choices. However, once you pick that size, you can tell the map to be as big as you want it. So basically, you could pick a tiny map, get the tiny map OCN and tech prices, then make a 362x362 map.

It's under the world sizes tab in the editor.
 
oh i see, is there any way of finding out the World Size? cos i need to change the optimal number of cities for the world map, i've hardly dominated asia and already my corruption is really, really bad
 
You might be able to load the scenario in the editor and tell that way. But it shouldn't make a difference, because the tech rate and OCN should be changed when the map size changes.
