To be more specific,
it is the event (probably caused by AP) to aid my brothers in faith in their war with certain strategic resources. In the event screen I get the option to either aid them with a military resource (all resources from copper to Uranium are listed) or to do nothing at all.
I got this event twice (both with other nations), but the only option I could choose was, to do nothing (the other options were greyed out and yielded no results when I clicked on them).
Especially when I got this event the second time it was strange, the nation with my brothers in faith was on the same continent as myself and had no ivory (needed for war elephants) , we both had trade routes to each other an d I had surplus resoruces in ivory (maybe 3-4 resources). The nation was also able to use the ivory to build war elephants (they had the necessary tech to build knights, and war elephants and, so I assume, were not at a tech level were war elephants are obsolete [after al they still were busy, building knights]).
But despite this fact and despite ivory being a viable trade resource in my diplomacy with this nation I couldn´t choose it in the event screen (greyed out, as al of the other options except the option to do nothing).
Therefore I wonder if I just hadn´t met any other preconditions which would have enabled me to trade the resource, or if it was caused by a bug, that I wasn´t able to choose an option aside from doing nothing.
I added a jpg with the event and a Save (just do anything with the units that have to be moved (aside from attacking anyone) and then press next turn, the event should pop uop at the beginning of the next turn).
