Hey, do any of you guys read Osprey Military books? If you did, can you make any suggestions to me of your favorites? Thanks

I own about 40 or so of them from all different types :) Reccomending wise, it's hard since it's not easy to say what period you are interested in. Most of mine are World War 2 or Modern men at arms and Elite, with a dozen or so campaign books from the same period. Of those I especially liked the one on Pieper and Skorzeny's forces in the Ardennes for interesting value :)

O right, unfortunatley, Im more into 18th, 17th, 16th centuries. Still i'll look into those.

Hmmm, fraid the only one I have from that period is one on the armies of Louis XIV. It's very good though :)

Mine are all Napoleonic or ancient, but, in general, even tho the books are getting old now, most of the data doesn't change. Great resources especially for painting miniatures.

@privatehudson: check your pm

Ooo, which napoleonic ones do you have? The only one I have from that period is on the Nassauers in Napoleon's service (and later in 1815 under Wellington) which was interesting reading to see what the different officers had done for Napoleon, and then what they did against him :D I especially liked the story of how one officer managed to get a message across France and down into Spain to tell the regiments there that their land was no longer allied to France. :)

IIRC, Wellington's Peninsula Army, 42nd Highlanders, and others. Mine are packed away and I'll have to dig them out to see.

Hmmm, have to try and get more ospreys, even though I've got way too many already :D You're right about miniature painting, they're great for that :)
