Other people don't see my game when i host in MP

Hi,

been playing MP Civ V for some time now and i usually enter games with no dlc so i can play with my friend who has no expansions on. I most of the times join his room.

There are times however that i want to play on my own. Since i ve played no dlc so far, i like playing like that and not using the G&K expansion although i have it. Here is the problem though:

Other people can't see my room when i create one and nobody joins.

Info:

- I have tried hosting and asked my friend if he could see my room. He couldn't. When i invited him though he could join.

- There are people joining from time to time but this is extremely rare. Most of the times i sit there and wait for 30 mins with noone joining. (not even join and then disconnect)

- Asked other people on my friend list and they couldn't see my room either.

- Tried with the dlc on and still nada.

- The private game is ofcourse disabled.

You must be in same area than other players. You can change it going to ''Settings--->Dowloads--->Download Region'' in Steam menu.

But since they are your friends you can just call them like you already do. They can also join your game by choosing ''Join Game'' from your name menu.

my friend lives next door and when he hosts people join immediatelly. I dont understand why only my games are invisible to others. Changing the steam account means i have to change to another language so why would this help?
