but i've been playing as the Ottomans

when at the cycle...

...the first city is called "Not Constinople" (however its spelt)

I suspect that is a reference to having the name changed to Istanbul, not Constantinople (sp). This was a song popular in 50's with the WWII generation.

And it was a popular song again in the early 90's, when They Might Be Giants did a version of it. And which is probably the version that inspired this easter egg.

I think I heard that song in one of "The Simpsons" episode #348 "Mobile Homer". However, I don't remember the last time I heard the real song of "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)"
