I have won domination as Russia, small pangaea, 5 opponents, regent in 480AD. My score was 5k.
I could've won earlier probably had I attacked earlier, but I wanted to have fun. Anyway, I was a republic at exactly 1500BC thanks to the rep slingshot. I built tons of scouts and popped tons of goody huts and did a little trading (AI didn't have much to offer at regent). I got to the middle ages before 1000 BC, and got to cossacks at 180 AD. My golden age, struck when I attacked the Aztecs. I had dominated the world before my golden age ended, thanks to the capturing of the ToA. I only faced spearmen the whole time, except the one battle against the only Iro city with iron access, so I faced one pike. Cossacks rock! It only takes one to take a city thanks to blitz, and it gets leaders like crazy, as an elite can attack three times in a turn! I got 5 leaders, and my leader luck was rather horrible. I captured every city, and the ToA made every city expand way past the domination limit.
One of these screenshots shows the only cities I had before attacking, and it still took less than 20 turns. The other shows my military advisor after world domination was complete.
