paratrooper movement

Trust me, I use it all the time! It makes removing those evil units that have been relocated to other cities for better defence all the easier to deal with, simply because they disband.

Well I've finally got round to testing this. I didn't mean to research combined arms as I reckon it's useless but the AI forced me to so I thought I'd test what you'd told me. I had a patrolling BB and found the Celtic city of Merthyr on an island within paradrop range of Chicago. I'd been at war with the Celts for years but hadn't bothered to find their cities and hadn't seen one of their units for ages so I decided that charging in wouldn't hurt my democracy at all. I crushed the defenders with my BB and then paradropped into the city. Sure enough, it gave me the opportunity to paradrop again. Weird. I didn't have any other troops around so I had to paradrop into the city again and just fortify but it gave me the movement after the paradrop as well! If only I'd been bothered to send out a load of BBs and taken a whole string of their cities then things might have been different. I doubt I'll use this very often, but it saves having to transport defenders to each city and is an interesting quirk all the same. :goodjob:

Interesting to know! But it's a PS quirk, then, as MGE definitely does not have it. :)
