I loaded the new patch and expected some changes but have not seen any. The automated workers are still building over farms to make trading posts and sending cities into starvation. The opening screen still takes about a minute to load even after making the change to stop the cinematics at the beginning. This is all very annoying to say the least. Even after I tell the workers to go back and make farms again the come back are start the trading post a little later.

Under Game Options, have you selected Automated Workers Don't Replace Improvements? If yes, then please provide a save game that shows this behavior. Thanks.

with me it's the other way around, well they don't replace improvements (i have turned that off in the settings) tho when i automate them, they only spam farms, and never build trading posts.

so my cities will grow so hard that my empire is nearly constanly unhappy, and when i make happiness buildings, i will get negative income.

why can't the workers balance between farms and trading posts?

don't you know how annyoing it is to handle all the workers manually in the middle of a war, where you also have to control your units, and also have timed turns (online multiplayer)

workers should definitly be fixed.

and why isn't there an option to set 'priority' for workers? like:

-focus on money
-focus on food
-stay near city (on/off)
-focus on trade routes
-focus on production
-focus on special resources
-balanced (no specific focus, but tries to work on what's needed the most)
-etc.

should not be too hard?

I have done what you said about the changing the line in the .lua file. What I get now is a minute of a black screen before the continue screen comes up. Why the continue screen is necessary, I have no idea. If I did not want to continue I would not have started the game in the first place. I can understand the wait to load the game after doing a custom start, but the initial waiting makes no sense to me. Of course I am not a game designer.

What I ask for it to eliminate the 1 minute wait and the continue screen.
Thanks for listening.

I don't know any way to eliminate waiting for the game to load or how to bypass the Copyright/Disclaimer screen. The game simply takes a long time to load (it takes even longer on my system) and the "continue screen" seems to be hard coded to display. Sorry that I can't help you with that.

Are you still having the problem with automated workers building farms over your trading posts? If so, did you try my earlier suggestion?
