Patch A works but not Patch B

So i have FFH2 installed . Got both the patch a and patch b files.

When i click on the patch b one, it installs around 40 mb of data in the mod folder, i can double click the FFH2 shortcut and theres no problem.
When i click on the patch a one, it installs around 40 mb of data in the mod folder, i can double click the FFH2 shortcut and i get a " Civilization IV has encountered and enconvenience and has to close " message with the option to send an error report.

I switched between patch a and b a couple of times, every times patch a works but not b.

This is rather frustrating because the modmod Orbis requires patch a, unless someone can direct me towards a version compatible with b.

(I know you saw my answer to this in another thread, but I'm repeating the answer here in case someone with this problem finds this thread first.)

FfH2 0.41 requires BtS v3.17.
FfH2 0.41 + patch A also requires BtS v3.17.
FfH2 0.41 + patch B (and future patches, I expect) requires BtS v3.19.

If you attempt to combine a version of FfH2 with an unsupported version of BtS a crash will occur while attempting to load the mod.
