Patching 3.17.... for an hour and a half

I am still patching 3.17. The game is INSANE.... I have not been able to get the patching process over with and I have been having to play Chess with Charlemagne, until I have managed to make Charlemagne an inferior chess player in my wait for the patching process to end.

The in game updater doesn't seem to work for 3.17 (why on earth haven't they sorted that out?) You have to download and install it manually. It must be on this site somewhere...
