It happened to me often that when i order a worker to build a road, it doesn't take the shortest way. (going around a random tile instead of going through it)

Lastly it happened with a military unit. It had, of course, a 2 tiles move, I ordered it to go on a hill 2 tiles away, with grassland in between. But it didn't go there... it went instead on a nearby hill...

Odd isn't it? I think this kind of thing should be number 1 problem fix for the next patch.
 
can you provide pics, sometimes it is faster to move around than through a tile because it might be a marsh which bogs down units to 1 movement through it where 2 plains tiles off to the side is much faster.
 
I confirm this bug, happened to me with a worker sent into building a road, it had to go through a grassland tile to another tile but instead went on a hill nearby building its road... don't have a save, as this game won't auto-save quite oftenly, and I didn't save the screenshot i took...
