Played most of the civ games since civ 1 and was just wondering what other civ type games you all play????????????

LIke you, I've played them all. I still fondly remember the "Caravan" rush with Great Library and Statue of Liberty from Civ I. And blowing up stacks of tanks with Spearmen because you got lucky.
I like Civ IV:BTS the best. Though Civ III did have some cool things.

I honestly don't think there are many other games like Civ.
There is Galactic Civilizations II, which I play off and on.

In addition to Galactic Civilisations you could try:
- Master of Orion 2 (very old game)
- Ascendancy (much older than MOO2)
There is a game called "Victoria" (made by a company called Paradox) which although quite different from Civ is a very absorbing empire management game. I suggest it would be well worth looking up a review and if you like the sound of it have a try. It is quite an old game so you sjhould be able to pick it up from the bargain bin. (It is a real time strategy game. I normally hate RTS but I really like this game). If you want something more aggressive consider Europa Universalis.

I loved Alpha Centari. It was another Sid game released around the time of Civ 2. It plays just like civ, except you are rebulding man kind as the leader of one of seven factions. The Alian Cross Fire expantion gave you seven more factions to choose from (encluding 2 Alian factions), but the game always used seven factions. I love that you could build a "custom" faction that enable you to start at the top of the tech tree while everybody started at the bottom. Yes, it was cheating, but some time you get frustated when you keep getting beat that you just want to make the game pay for it.
