Well frist of all...
Hi again on civfanatics :)
Been a while since I have posted.
Been reading a bit tho and now civ 5 is out!
Now to the point...

I seem to have permanent open borders with my neighbour and I can't find a way to cancel it, except DOW I guess...
Any of you guys know?

If wrong forum sorry in advance!

I believe open borders only lasts for 30 turns (on standard speed). There's no way to cancel deals, so you just have to wait for it to expire. Or you could DOW like you said.

I have the same problem, permanent open borders. Persians won't get of my land so i can improve it. And pretty much killed my tactics in a war with the Egyptians...they intentionally got in the way and blocked me at every pass.

As stated in the thread "You have peace with ..." I have experienced several times that my DOW was undone by the AI, as Egypt playing against Persia. Also very strange. Maybe this is related to these 2 civs? I could not find anyone else with similar experiences...

Hell yeah!
Its the Persians...
Maybe something they do as special?
hehe

I have problems with the persians, too. Declaring war seems impossible after having signed a peace treaty some hundrets of turns ago.
