Hey I noticed that Persia received a pretty huge indirect nerf with the BnW river and coastal tile gold change. Because river tiles and coastal tiles no longer produce 1 Gold, I suggest that in the upcoming Fall Balance patch that Firaxis should change the GA gold bonus to

"Golden Ages Provide +20% Gold in Cities, Instead of All Gold Tiles Having +1 Gold-".

Thus Golden Ages would work with trade routes, and remove this strange nerf to Persia (that was probably the result of the developer overlooking this design flaw).

This would also achieve design parity with a much earlier Vanilla Civ 5 balance patch concerning production bonuses and Golden Ages.

Remember that Golden Ages still increase Culture and production, and in Persia's case, strength and movement.
The money side of the Golden Ages might not be that significant as in GnK, as most of your money comes out of trade. But still, in the late game it might be worth a good chunk of gold.

And they still have the immortal. Which is incredible.

The moving of great artists to their own separate track of progression outside of scientists makes up for the gold changes. You just play them like before-as a tall warmonger w/ a puppet empire and trading post up the puppet's tiles. The net loss isn't all that great, and you can actually generate Great Scientists without it impacting your ability to generate great artists for additional golden ages.

Also, World's Fair can easily get you another "free" GA.
