Pirates and Vista

Does anybody know whether Sid Meier's Pirates works on the Vista OS?
I would like to buy it but first i want to be sure that it actually works on Vista.

I have Vista and Pirates and it worked really well when I played it. I had to download a patch for it from Internet since auto-update-thingy didn't work but otherwise there were no problems.

I'm running Vista on a laptop with only 1GB of RAM and it works just as well as it did on XP.

Thanks everyone for replying I'm glad it works well on Vista cause i'm really looking forward to play it - there aren't many good pirate games around. Now i'm figuring from where to buy it...either from Steam or GamersGate.

I suggest the battlefield pirates mod for BF2 if you like pirates games, and yes (even though it's been answered) pirates works fine on vista...
