Planes and Helicopters

I don't think the F-15 will be an unique unit, I think the Abrams will be the american unique unit, and Joy Division most positively rock.

Dreadnought I'd agree with what your saying about flight, it's likely there will be a fighter and bomber for each era. Which I think by looking at tech tree is: Flight, Advanced Flight and Stealth.

I think its also likely there will be only 1 helicopter which is used for attack not transport.

But there has been several mentions of a transport plane that carries 2 units at various places (not sure if firaxis have confirmed it though). I think its unrealistic to not have some type of air transport in the modern era of the game.

So speculating on what air units are in the game:

Flight: WW2 Fighter, WW2 Bomber, Air Transport
Advanced Flight: Jet Fighter, Jet Bomber, Helicopter
Stealth: Stealth Fighter, Stealth Bomber

The standard air units look like this.

Flight: Bomber, Transport Helicopter.

Advanced Flight: Paratrooper, Jet Fighter.

Stealth is in modern times so can't see that but I'd assume its a stealth bomber and fighter.

There doesn't even seem to be a propellor based fighter, just goes straight to a jet fighter with advanced flight!!!
Bit dissapointing if this is the case.

Fear not, Typo. In that tech tree screenshot those round "T" buttons are placeholders for unfinished art. An early fighter is most likely going to be there.

I guess that means this tech tree pic is far from final... One thing I will say is I hope they move the transport helicopter discovery from Flight to Advanced Flight as I think this would be more realistic.
