I know. I meant I still only have time to play games on week-ends, so the pacing didn't really improve.

Appearantly, browbeating a certain faction to war with the Pirates had an... unexpected... side-effect... :lol:

I am sorry I disappeared so suddenly.

Currently I have no way to play the game because the video chip on my laptop finally gave up after three years of service. Luckily, the VESA driver still allows me to use 2D applications, but I can't run anything in 3D until I get the graphics card replaced, which may take some time.

So, basically, I am just letting you know that I am still alive. :)
 
Well, this is one of the reasons I prefer discrete graphics cards over integrated - you don't have to switch the whole motherboard if something goes wrong. But, yes, this adds a layer of complexity to the probem since there are way more compatibility issues to consider than in the case of the PC upgrade.

I hope I'll get it restored in a week. Having the usability of an all-purpose machine reduced to Internet browing is no fun.
 
MY 2273 to Pfeffersack

I am happy to announce a peace treaty has been signed between the Nautilus Pirates and the University of Planet. The terms of the treaty are as follows:
  • we will not pillage each other's improvements
  • we will not use espionage missions against each other
  • we will not set up AI factions against the other player
Recently the University sparked a war between the Drones and Believers by giving the latter the technology of Atmospherics, enabling Miriam to produce lots of hot air. Given the new political situation, I implore either the University or Spartans to undo the damage done, and once again use their technological advantage, this time to convince the Believers to sign peace with the Drones. I believe the continued existence of the Drones as a buffer state is in everyone's advantage.
