Play by cloud - issue with mods

Hi all,

We have been playing by cloud with 2 friends for more than 3 months now, and the game seems to be corrupted. It is a standard Gathering Storm game, with no mods whatsoever.
One of us installed a mod recently (Robespierre for France), and it seems to be part of the problem. It is his turn to play, and when he tried to load the game this morning, he got a message saying that there was an error while launching the game and that he was advised to disable the mods before trying again." When he did disable the mod, he could not load the game either, but got a different message that time. The message was something about a mod which was missing (Robespierre, of course) and that he should enable it.

My version game is completely unmodded, and I tried to enter the lobby and get into the game. Normally, I would simply see the status of the world and would not be able to validate any action, since it is not my turn. But I get the same error message as my friend gets when he tries to join the game with his mod disabled. More worrying: in my list of cloud games, this particular game now appears with map type "pangea.lua" whereas it was supposed to be continents, and "standard rules" whereas it was supposed to be gathering storm.

I tried to install the mod myself, to no avail.

Do you know if it is linked to the mod? Does anyone know a fix for this kind of issue? I thought that the game would be clever enough not to load a mod that you have installed if you try to join a game that was created without it. Or could it be something on Firaxis' side? After all, PBC was down for more than a week about one month ago...

Thanks for your help. We really like this game, and would be sad to lose it.

All my PBCs worked as usual after the downtime a while ago (afaik it was to reduce the traffic for the servers since the game was free on epic games store by that time and got lots of new players).

What might work is to look for an auto save and rehost the game. The last player creates on each turn. I don't know when it gets overwritten by other MP autosaves though.
