Bluemafia, if Im wrong tell me, Id like to put a little more "feature" in the cliffs, and water trickeling/flowing over the edge might be what I need to make this personal(not just edited graphics)...is this original Firaxis water Im editing?...

I dont have it anymore unless I reinstall (when I started moding the concept of "back up" was alien to me) can you send me your river deltas pcx?...it would help match the color and pattern for the water going over the edge...and I got the other ones(sss/ooo/cso) so you can pull them

Warpstorm huh?...is that the watercolor terrain?...I just wanna know cause if I make this, I might as well see what it looks like in full terrain...

Um I dont see any sea squares on your map...or is that all sea, and the very edges are ocean?...I could make "polar Ice caps" that match your ocean no prob..but I think some of the tiles Im having issues with may not even appear on your map...so I will finish all but the 2 tiles that are giving me issues...then see if they even effect your map...soon soon...unless the waterfall thing is a pain in the @&$ then even sooner.

We don't need polar ice caps, because there is no polar ice caps in this. The x and y axis both wrap. The sea squares are in the center ocean.

preview updated...Id be an hour or so from finished(no waterfalls) but alas...one wrong click, and you lose a whole days work..anyway you can see what they would have looked like, and will again

I'm done from tech tree working for the day, and I'm starting to gather improvements. Tomorrow I'll work/possibly-finish the tech tree. Then the icons.
 
Not to offend or be rude but I dont understand this scenario, a Playground??? The game is for killing your enemies, Tactics,ETC. Not playing in the sandbox and on the swing set. but honestly, am I imagining this or is this what's became of civ 3??

Well as Im sure you are aware, Civ3 is a game, and more importantly than that, its a fully customizable game...its not meant to be exclusivly for "tactics" or "killing" anybody...its a game, which last I checked arte played for fun/entertainment... You think this is bad?...look up the Easter Egg hunt mod Im also helping on...units CANT fight in that one...

I guess what Im trying to say Roman, is that just because you can simulate combat with Civ...to do nothing else would be disrespectful to the designers...If we wanted a "combat" only game,there wouldnt be Diplo or Wonder victories, and we'd still be playing Risk (Tm Parker Bros)...

from what I gather, this MOD is what would happen in a battle of imagination...the units are stuff people made up at the time or something...whatever it is, I will play it, Variety is the spice of life

Well, in a way, The Omega's playground expierence was about dominating the playground (since grade 2). They had warring factions, diplomancy, and other things involved in it aside from the everyday playground things.
 
ok, so Im close enough to done, to warrant a NEW screenshot :-)

I am figuring that your map wont have all the possible tiles so 2 options...

1) I can send you the terrain I have done, and you can send me screenshots of tiles I need to fix...
2) you can send me your biq file so I can look at your map with the terrain applied and see if I got it all...

[edit] I see it...the tile I missed...I'll get it between now and next post I swear(it keeps eluding me)...

Also, Im working on a swingset for the Easter Egg Mod...its a backyard swing, not a playground swing(replaces swamps for now, I could make it something else) but if you want it I'll send it to ya

I loaded your biq and my terrain...if you see any issues, let me know...but as far as I see...it works for your map (not complete for all maps tho)

footnote: I added the waterfalls, and I looed at both...they look terrible, so you dont get to see em...but this IMO looks great...

I hope you like it, this marks my first actual "mod" (not just making a pcx or writing a txt) for civ3...and my 250th post...
 
Yeah, weekdays are horrible for me. Just got back from Chess at school.

Really nice! Can't talk/post much now, but I'll tell you when we need another pcx image done. I have too much homework.
