Please help me find mp3's

Hi I have dumb questions about mp3s.

Ever since the fall of Napster, I noticed a lot of sites asking me to pay for mp3s.

I am wondering several things (mainly because I know so little about this stuff so please forgive me)

1) Are there any places to get free mp3s?

2) For the sites that want you to pay, what is the average price and how does it work?

3) Is it always going to be hard to find songs by popular artists?

4) Could anyone recommend me some good sites to find stuff?

Well I only know the answer for question 1. Yes there's many napster clones. Morpheus, WinMX are some of them. They are free, and you can access the same speed you reached with napster. Never really used WinMx though, but with Morpheus, you can download a file from several user at the same moment, allowing you to almost always reach great speed if you have a good modem.

hey, im new to mp3 downloads as well (i just love the getting the whole cd package and booklet and stuff 2much!!).......

But!....... go to audiogalaxy and it is very impressive.... with their free mp3 selection and way of downloading! hope you havent got a Mac though as theres no mac support! Its very easy to set up an account (and it is free!!)

um.... well i cant remember the websites excat address but im pretty sure you cant go wrong with an search for "audiogalaxy"!

You could go to www.bresso.com and they will bring you to other pages with mp3's that you can download. It's really good, hardly any broken links and lots of albums. Download speed can be a problem and you can only download 2 songs at a time.
