If you're asking about the various civs you can play in CivII, no, none are from Australia.

Well, none of the civilizations start in Australia. ("Randomize starting locations = No.)

Civilizations do seem to enjoy restarting in Australia. (Don't restart = No.)

Maybe there's moral in that fact some place.

If you read some of the threads, it is not hard to customize a Civ2 civilization or move a civ on the World map to Australia. There are also large custom maps of Australia, with starting civs, on different download sites. Don't know if anyone has done a "conquering Australia" scenario, but look around...

Australia functions much in Civilization as it does in RISK. A continent with few resources, there just waiting to be conquered for defensive purposes as well as bragging rights.

Is there a way to select a specific unit in city with over 20 units present? (Nemos ww2 scenario). I want to "home" a unit to KIev before Lvov gets overrun, but it is not on my list....

Another Civ2 annoyance. If you "wake up" all the units on the City screen and move them out on a Road (better yet, RR) and tell them to Wait, then "wake up" the remainder, you eventually get to the one you want. Clicking a non-city tile gives you a list with a maximum of 9 and no scrolling. Sometimes I put a Fortress or two close to my city (often on a vital special tile) just to use for overflow unit storage. Playing One City Challenge, I've had 50-60 caravans and freights stacked around the city just before SpaceFlight.
