please help

ok I am new here so sorry if this is in the wrong place--I have been trying to load mods to cIV but cant get ANY to work no matter what I do. I put them in this folder ( C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods) , I have tried to even put them in custom assets (got one for new promotions to work but thats it) and nothing ever works. Most of them are new civilization mods (like the superciv, and republic of texas, and croatians (personal interests)) and they show up on the mod menu in game. I click on them and the game restarts, like its supposed to. The problem is the new civs never show up, and none of the other features of the mod even can be found. So it will say blah blah blah mod in the right upper corner of the screen, but thats it. This is driving me nuts. I am not a computer genius, never claim to be. But I know I know more than at least one or two of the other people who have made this work. Anyone who can help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If you are talking about Mods created by people other than Firaxis - best bet is to go to the place you downloaded it - and ask the creator. Go here and select the appropriate area

When you do post, its best to makea more descriptive title, many people will ignore threads titles "help" etc - use a title that summerises your issue

If your still stuck - post again, dont sit and suffer we are here to help

EDIT: you will also find that in general you cant load more than one non-Firaxis MOD blindly, you can cause issues, needs some thought, again ask the creator if there are possible conflicts that he/she knows of
