Please Insert CD-ROM !?!

I installed the Game and it worked

i then played something else , and tried to come back and play it and it wouldn't start ... it keeps saying please inster CD-ROM , even though the disk is DVD-ROM , i tried doing the thing where you rename DVD drive to E: , and that , it hasn't worked , and i have no idea about what a Crack is or whatever ? .... please help

Unfortunately, NoCD/DVD Cracks are considered piracy here, and you won't get any help with it.

Do you have two dvd drives on your system? You could try running the dvd from the drive that didn't install the game, if so.

as it's the DVD Version , my computer doesn't read it

PLUS

When i try to go through My computer and Double Click on D: drive << where the game is

it comes up with " may be corrupt or in a format Windows can't read etc etc "

check for dirt, grease, scratches...

Try rebooting and putting the Civ4 CD/DVD in again and see if it happens. Sometimes other games mess with the system memory. (Once I played SimCity 4, then Oblivion. The vocals really messed up after that - had an echo. Sounded kind of interesting with some lines, though.)

Right click on the shortcut for the game, then propities, compatibility.

Then run in compatibility mode for windows nt, apply then ok.

Try it again
