Please Insert the CD

Hi all,
Maybe this has been answered already but I did do a search and couldn't find it so bear with me.

I do not have a copied version or anything, I have the original game and use the original CD. I just leave the CD in the drive all the time because it is the only game I play.

However it seems like 3 out of every 5 times I play it will pop up a message box saying "cannot find CD, please insert CD and try again."

I press OK and simply open and close the CD drive. Try to play again and it works. If I press OK but don't open and close the drive the message will just keep popping up until I do so.

Is it just my CD drive has a problem or have other people seen this and have a fix?

Only mildly annoying because I like to start the game loading while I go do stuff and then I come back expecting it to be at the menu but instead I get that darn message box!

It's very simple. Game has a build in security program. And you cant play without CD inside. Program all the time is watching if the CD is inside.

As you probably don't know the game is copy protected by SafeDisc copy protection by Macrovision. It 's prevent to play without CD.

Always when you start your game this product is activated and affects your system and your game. A process windows\temp\~e5.0001 is always on the run. Start your game and after how this program will see that you have your CD in player - switch by ALT+TAB to pulpit and enter by CTRL+ALT+DEL to Task Manager and kill the ~e5.0001 process in memory. It doesn't work with not pached version 1.00.
