I don't have any major gameplay bugs. One issue is that movies don't play properly on either my laptop or desktop, but I figure that will be fixed in a future patch and I can just watch them at that point, then go back to skipping them. The game also has some memory leaks, if I've been playing for a long time (or just left the game running while doing something else) a quick exit to desktop and restart will speed it up immensely. The mouseover tips also seem to fail about 1/4 of the time, which is annoying if someome is making an offer of a tech and I don't remember how much it costs.

Howdy neighbor(scottin),
I've experienced most of the bugs posted by others. They happen infrequently and don't affect gameplay much.

Only trivial graphic bugs. Black ice after many hours of playing, units crossing the entire map (often walking on water) before entering combat. I feel for those having problems but it has been completely playable out of the box on my mid-range system.

(x) So many bugs.....

the game is playable, though.

Nevertheless, there are enough things to be fixed and should be done prior to any release of an expansion pack (mouse-overs as just one example).

In the late game the frame rate drops occasionally to 9 fps on a P4 3.6 GHz, 2GB RAM, 2*6800GS (SLI-mode) system (fresh XP Home SP2, all updates, all drivers are brandnew).

Things like this are just incredible and I don't go to tolerate this.

Not bad. Shows that 78% are running the game with few problems. Maybe Firaxis hasn't done as miserable a job as I thought. Strange that so many people, running on decent machine (better than mine) are still having problems. Hopefully they have figured something out to help those folks.

I can't play bigger than standard map - happily that's my preferred size anyways.

1 or 2 second end of turn delay year 4000BC becomes 25 to 30 second by 1800 AD, and if I'm involved in protracted modern wars, I save every turn as I get CTD one turn in 3 or 4 by 1900AD.

Civ4 still batters bottom all over beddy-byes land mind you.

hopefully, those of you with nvidia cards will have noticed the post by elhoim by now. the tweaks may just allow us to push the boat out a bit more.

The game isn't buggy for me -- it just doesn't run as well as it should. I've quit playing; I get to about ~1000 AD and just quit, because it is too @#$@#$ slow.

In almost every game I attempt, I get several 'crash to desktop' errors every single game. It's not unusual for a single epic game to require me to reload from the auto-save 8+ times.

I am extremely dismayed that the developers put out one patch rather quickly that addressed many problems, but other problems have been languishing for 3-4 months now. Historically, Civilization hasn't been 'stable' until the third patch. To me, Civ 4 fits this mold.

I had enormous trouble with the game at first. I couldn't play a game without it crashing to desktop several times. After I upgraded my antique video card (which was below the system requirements) to a much better model, I haven't had any problems.
