Pollution Woes

Think pollution needs to be tweaked as well.

Last night was my first space race game so I wound up researching all technolgies.

The game was on Chieftan mode, Tiny map. I had about 11 cities. My civilization had the hoover damn wonder so all cities have a hydro plant. None of my cities built a hospital nor a factory. However they all built recycling plants and mass transit systems.

I would still get at least 1 splatter of pollution per turn. Even with all anti-pollution controls in place and also reducing my base pollution by restricting my population and shield production.
 
Restricting population should help with pollution, but sheilds have no effect now. Improvements cause a specific amount of pollution "hazard signs", independant of the amount of production that results.

Oh I was waiting for someone to mention polution. I just finished a Chieftan game and I couldn't believe the amount of pollution. I had workers going crazy cleaning it up. I'm ok with the amount. I just know now to be better prepared for it.
